With the Saints being the talk of the NFL, we got to thinking about what are some of the greatest moments in Saints history. Certainly coming back to the Superdome after Katrina stands out in recent memory, but this moment by Tom Dempsey might be the winner.

Dempsey's 63 yard field goal is now tied for the longest field goal in NFL history. The Broncos Jason Elam also kicked a 63 yard fg on October 25, 1998 against the Jaguars.
Did you know that Tom Dempsey was born without toes on his right foot? He kicked with a modified cleat as seen here.

At the time there was a debate on whether or not this type of cleat gave a kicker an unfair advantage. In 1977 the NFL added a rule that unofficially became known as the "Tom Dempsey Rule." It stated that "any shoe that is worn by a player with an artificial limb on his kicking leg must have a kicking surface that conforms to that of a normal kicking shoe."
But back to the matter at hand, is Dempsey's kick the greatest moment in Saints history? Let us know what you think.
Tonight is the Mitchell & Ness Fantasy Football Draft. While we obviously play with current players, we love to speculate on which all time great we'd choose if we could.
So now we pose that question to you. Let's start with QB's. For the sake of this discussion, let's say that points are scored or deducted with yards per game, td's thrown, rushing yards and interceptions.
Would you choose one of these guys?

If not, who would be your #1 QB?

Hey 49er faithful, we've got something for you. This beautiful 1994 Jerry Rice jersey is back in stock.
The 49ers were Super Bowl champs in 1994, finishing the season with a 13 - 3 record. Jerry Rice led the league in receiving yards (1848) and yards per game (115.5.)
This jersey is one of our favorites. We love the huge numbers with the black shadow outline. Also includes the 75th Anniversary NFL patch.
Classic.

Barry Sanders was born on July 16, 1968 in Wichita Kansas. After a stellar career at Wichita North High School Barry chose to atend Oklahoma State. He spent his first two years there backing up Thurman Thomas. When Thomas left in 1988 the team became Barry's. As a junior he won the Heisman Trophy and opted to leave the Cowboys to join the NFL.
Drafted third overall by the Lions in the 1989 draft, Barry's professional career began with a bang when he rushed for 18 yards on his first ever professional carry. He was voted NFL Rookie of the Year in 1989. From then on the stats started piling up. He is the first NFL player to rush for 1000 yards in his first ten seasons. A 10 time Pro Bowler, he led the league in rushing four times. His most impressive season was 1997 when he was voted league MVP. He rushed for 2,053 total yards that season and for 14 straight games he averaged 100+ yards. Easy to see why he was voted MVP isn't it?
After the 1998 season Barry shocked the NFL by announcing his retirement. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2004.
The greatest running back to ever play the game? Maybe. Your thoughts?
