Fantasy Football Fantasy QB

Tonight is the Mitchell & Ness Fantasy Football Draft.  While we obviously play with current players, we love to speculate on which all time great we'd choose if we could.

So now we pose that question to you.  Let's start with QB's.  For the sake of this discussion, let's say that points are scored or deducted with yards per game, td's thrown, rushing yards and interceptions.

Would you choose one of these guys?

If not, who would be your #1 QB?

This Just In

Hey 49er faithful, we've got something for you.  This beautiful 1994 Jerry Rice jersey is back in stock.

The 49ers were Super Bowl champs in 1994, finishing the season with a 13 - 3 record.  Jerry Rice led the league in receiving yards (1848) and yards per game (115.5.)

This jersey is one of our favorites.  We love the huge numbers with the black shadow outline.  Also includes the 75th Anniversary NFL patch.

Classic.

Happy Birthday to The Greatest RB of All Time?

Barry Sanders was born on July 16, 1968 in Wichita Kansas.  After a stellar career at Wichita North High School Barry chose to atend Oklahoma State.   He spent his first two years there backing up Thurman Thomas.  When Thomas left in 1988 the team became Barry's.  As a junior he won the Heisman Trophy and opted to leave the Cowboys to join the NFL.

Drafted third overall by the Lions in the 1989 draft, Barry's professional career began with a bang when he rushed for 18 yards on his first ever professional carry.  He was voted NFL Rookie of the Year in 1989. From then on the stats started piling up.  He is the first NFL player to rush for 1000 yards in his first ten seasons.  A 10 time Pro Bowler, he led the league in rushing four times.  His most impressive season was 1997 when he was voted league MVP. He rushed for 2,053 total yards that season and for 14 straight games he averaged 100+ yards.  Easy to see why he was voted MVP isn't it?

After the 1998 season Barry shocked the NFL by announcing his retirement.  He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2004.

The greatest running back to ever play the game?  Maybe.  Your thoughts?

The Future of the 2009 NFL Draft Class and Mitchell & Ness

We've made jerseys from guys drafted first

to guys who were barely drafted (round 9 / 102nd overall pick).

So, this time of year gets us thinking about the latest draft class and their futures with Mitchell & Ness.  Who, in the 2009 NFL Draft, has the highest odds of having Mitchell & Ness make his jersey some day?  An informal survery of Mitchell & Ness employees has decided that Jeremy Maclin, 19th overall pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, has the best odds.  Since we're obviously homers on this matter,  we need your opinion.  Let us know who you think will one day have a Mitchell & Ness Throwback jersey of his own.
