It's March and the boys of summer are working out. This makes us very happy as baseball season is right around the corner. We want to give you a peak at two upcoming jerseys that are making their Mitchell & Ness debut: 1991 Minnesota Twins Kent Hrbeck and Kirby Puckett.
These jerseys feature the TC patch on the left sleeve with the 1991 patch on the right. Puckett and Hrbeck will hit mitchellandness.com and authroized retailers in early April so keep an eye out!
In 1991, the Minnesota Twins finished first in the AL West with a record of 95-67. Under Manager Tom Kelly, the Twins went on to win the World Series over the Atlanta Braves 4-3. The series was a full-on battle between the two teams. With 69 innings in total, the 1991 World Series holds the record for longest seven-game World Series. Ever. Interestingly enough, both the Braves and Twins finished last in their respective divisions in 1990. With that, 1991 marked the first season where the league champions had finished last in the previous season.
Game 6 in Minnesota put the Twins against the wall with Atlanta up in the series 3-2, but in the 11th inning, Kirby Pucket launched a walk-off homer to force game 7. Click below to watch the video!
