The Chicago Bears are in Philadelphia tonight for their game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Mitchell & Ness welcomes the Bears to Philadelphia. Below are some facts about the team that you may or may not know. And of course we couldn't leave out the Super Bowl Shuffle!

The 1940s was a fabulous decade for the Chicago Bears. How many NFL Championships did they win during that time?

The Bears won 4 NFL Championships in that decade. In 1940, the Bears beat the Redskins 73-0. In 1941, they beat the Giants 37-9. In 1943 versus the Redskins 41-21, and in 1946 versus the Giants 24-14. The Bears were in the championship game in 1942, however, they were defeated by the Washington Redskins 14-6.

From 1919-2002, which stadiums did the Chicago Bears call their home field?

Staley Field was home for the Bears from 1919-1920, Wrigley Field from 1921-1970, Soldier Field from 1971-2001. The Bears played at Memorial Stadium for the 2002 season while Soldier Field was being renovated. 

                                            

Who led the Bears in receptions in 1986?

Willie Gault. Willie Gault was the first wide receiver to lead the Bears in receptions since James Scott in 1977. 

Which Chicago Bear player was NFL Rookie of the Year in 1961?

Mike Ditka. Ditka was the first round, fifth pick of the Bears in 1961 out of the University of Pittsburgh.

                              

Who was the first Chicago Bear to score more than 1000 points in his career?

Kevin Butler. Butler achieved this with his first quarter field goal against the New England Patriots in December 1994.

Which team recorded the "Super Bowl Shuffle"?
