Here is the first installment of an ongoing series on the history of Mitchell & Ness.

While you may know Mitchell & Ness as the company that makes authentic jerseys and fashionable lifestyle apparel and headwear, you may not know what Mitchell & Ness used to sell.
From 1952 to 1982, the Mitchell & Ness Sporting Goods store had a full service, in-house ski shop.

Willy Hischman was the man behind the “Ski Hut.”

He made sure that every customer that walked through the door was set up with a reliable pair of skis and boots, as well as providing the day’s ski report for various mountains in the Poconos. Customers could also find jackets, gloves, and hats to keep them warm. Truly a one-stop shop!
