Fun with Hockey Logos

With the NHL season underway it's time to discuss classic hockey logos.  Around here we think these old logos are some of the best of all four professional leagues.

The great colors and unique designs really set these apart from the rest.  Here are some of our favorites.  Your thoughts?

I'm sort of partial to the "HW" int he Whalers logo, and the "A" in the Flames.  While all are classic, and creative in their own right, these 2, as well as the Flyers, are ahead of their time in terms of creativity.  The Whalers reminds me of the old Expos, & Milwaukee Brewers logos, in that you really had to look to see all of the components.  The Rockies, and Penguins don't really do much for me.  I love the Nords', and liked the few years the Rangers wore that crest on their jerseys.  The Canucks is ok, and the Blues is what it is.

What about the Canuck's Skate logo?!? That had everything I want in a jersey, Eye catchingly vivid colors, goofy 80's font... A skate!

All are great, with the exception of the Pens & Canucks, but I'm a big fan of the Kansas City Scouts logo
