On This Date In History: #9

On June 9, 1985, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics to win their ninth NBA championship.  Led by playoff MVP Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the Lakers won the series 4 - 2, taking the decisive sixth game at Boston Garden.  It was the first time in Garden history that the guys in green had to watch an opposing team celebrate a championship on their home floor.

This series was such a classic that NBA TV has compiled the Top Ten plays from this legendary battle.  Whether you're reminiscing or seeing these spectacular highlights for the first time, enjoy.
