This Day in History: Record-Breaking Red Wings!

On January 23, 1944 the Detroit Red Wings defeated the New York Rangers 15-0 at the Olympia Stadium in Detroit. The Red Wings became the first team to score 15 consecutive goals in a game. They would have had 16 goals but their last goal went in after the buzzer. This game marks the most one-sided game in NHL history.
